— JB Batchelor, age 83, of McDonough, formerly of Milledgeville, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008. He was born in Eatonton to the late Jeffrey and Mamie Black Batchelor. JB was an avid reader, Braves fan and Georgia Bulldog fan. He followed his son all over the state while Keith was playing and coaching. Most important to him was his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine in 1996.
Mr. Batchelor is survived by his son, Keith Batchelor, McDonough; grandchildren, Kerri Batchelor and Corey Batchelor; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery, Milledgeville, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ELCA Building Fund. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
