— Doris Evelyn Holmes passed away Wednesday Oct., 8, 2008, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held graveside, Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at Crestlawn.
Visitation will take place at 1 p.m. at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel.
Ms. Holmes is survived by her 14 children, Shirley Taylor, Teresa Carroll, William Holmes, and Thomas Holmes, all of Milledgeville, Charles Holmes of Milledgeville, Stanley Holmes of Ringold, Howell Little of Eatonton, Garland Payne of Ocala, Fla., Tommy Holmes of Canton, Kenneth Holmes of Dalton, Randy Holmes of McDonough, Betty Taylor of Chickamauga, Linda Rhinehart of Lafayette, Cathy Dorin of Chatsworth; sisters, Zonnie Little of Ringold, Patricia Screws of Gordon, Faye Stephens of Milledgeville, Sue Rogers of Webster, Fla., and Elizabeth Swanson of Chickamauga.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Buddy Payne, R.L. Payne, and Dean Johnson; and one sister, June Taylor; and one grandson.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
