Published October 02, 2008 09:45 pm - Ms. Joyce M. Bennett, 53, of 2003 Highway 15, White Plains, died Sept. 26, 2008, in Americus. Joyce M. Bennett The Union-Recorder Ms. Joyce M. Bennett, 53, of 2003 Highway 15, White Plains, died Sept. 26, 2008, in Americus.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Mecca Sabri Bennett of Atlanta; mother, Lavonia Lewis Bennett of White Plains; four sisters, Catherine Bennett of Stone Mountain, Shirley D. Bennett of White Plains, Mary Johnson of White Plains; one brother, Ronald Bennett of White Plains; two aunts, Johnnie Mae Harris of Wilmington, Del., and Ida Mae Bennett of White Plains. Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Sparta. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. L.T. Crawford will officiate. Ingram Brothers Funeral Home Inc., 249 Spring St., Sparta, has charge of the arrangements.
