Harold Dumas, 79, entered into rest surrounded by family on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008.
Mr. Dumas was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Tifton. With pride and honor, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired computer comptroller from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. His parents, James and Effie Dumas; son, Tommy Dumas; daughter, Janet Stokes; grandsons, T.C. Dumas and DJ McInturff, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 54 years, Miriam E. Dumas; children, Jerry Dumas, Macon, Marilyn Noon, Byron, and Melonie McInturff (David), Warner Robins; brothers, Walter Dumas (Polly), Port Wentworth, and Edmond Dumas (Eleanor), Tifton; seven grandchildren, including Christy Michelle Dumas, who was raised by Miriam and Harold Dumas; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The Rev. Robin Tedder officiated. Entombment followed in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum.
