Ms. Lenora Faye Hancock, 81, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009. Funeral services will be private.

Ms. Hancock was a native of Waycross. She lived in Savannah until her retirement from Conner Realty and then moved to Milledgeville.

She was the daughter of the late William Roy and Mildred McElveen Hancock and was also preceded in death by her sister, Sara Hancock McOnie.

She was a graduate from Armstrong College and The University of Georgia with a BA in journalism. She was very devoted to her mother.

Survivors include her brother, Dr. William Roy (Martha) Hancock of Eatonton; nieces and nephews, Tim Hancock of Eatonton, Steve Hancock of Atlanta, Jennifer Hancock of Eatonton, Joe Hancock of Milledgeville, Susan McDowell of Savannah, Mark McOnie of Pooler, and Rick Welch of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and a large extended family.
