A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Alford moved to Suwannee 20 years ago, having previously lived in Milledgeville. He was a member of Suwannee Baptist Church and he loved to fish. Survivors include his sons, Larry C. Alford of Clarksville, Tenn. and Gary R. Alford of Martinez; daughter, Lunell Kelly of Warner Robbins; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
