— Toy Curry Layson, age 78, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at West View Cemetery.
Mrs. Layson was a native of Amarillo, Texas but had made her home in Macon and Milledgeville. She was retired from the Chemistry Department at Mercer University. She was the widow of the late Howard Winkfield Layson. Mrs. Layson was a member of the Northminister Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Layson White of Milledgeville and Leah Cecelia Layson of Athens; two brothers, William Curry of Hot Springs, Ark. and Joel B. Curry of Applegate, Calif.; two grandchildren, Nicholas Layson Sanders and Leah Brenner Sanders.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Academy for the Blind, 2895 Vineville Ave., Macon, 31204.
