— Lonnie Christian Sr. died Monday, May 5, 2008, at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Kingdom Hall in Sparta.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Christian of Sparta; three sons, Tyrell R. Christian of Orlando, Fla., Lonnie Christian Jr. of Ohio, and Mario Christian of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Linnion Christian of Peoria, Ill., Johnnie Christian Jr. of Lakeland, Fla., and James Christian of Akron, Ohio; five sisters, Lenora Jackson (Willie) and Dorothy M. Grantham of Peoria, Ill., Joanna and Helen J. Christian of Atlanta, and Sallie Giles of Shelby, Miss.; three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Warren Brothers Mortuary in Sparta.
