— Albert Malcolm Jones, age 80, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008, at a Macon hospital.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel with the Rev. Scott Doster officiating. Interment followed at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Kenny Bass, Jimmy and Bryan Jones, Tommy Poore, Donald Shipp and Joey Harrison.
Mr. Jones was born in Oglethorpe County on July 2, 1927. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Welch Jones and a sister, Doris Bruce.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Kelly Jones of Milledgeville; children, Wanda Tompkins and husband Jerry of Milledgeville, Mack Jones and wife Teresa of McIntyre, Elizabeth Massey and husband Jack of Milledgeville, Bill Jones and wife MeLinda of Milledgeville, John Terry Jones of Milledgeville, LaDonna Willis of Milledgeville, and Spencer Souders and wife Wanda of Ellabell; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Larry and Roy Jones Jr., both of Eatonton.
The family received friends Sunday evening at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel in Eatonton.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel had charge of arrangements.
