A mother and her two young sons are recovering from the shock of Thursday’s three-car wreck at one of the community’s busiest intersections.
Jennifer Aldridge of Milledgeville was treated and released Thursday from Oconee Regional Medical Center following her midday rescue at the U.S. Highway 441 Bypass/Ga. 22 intersection.
Aldridge’s Ford Expedition crashed into a Milledgeville patrol car before flipping three times and landing on the hood of a Lexus SUV.
Rescue workers used the Jaws of Life to pry Aldridge through the driver’s door of her Expedition.
Aldridge’s sons, 5-year-old Justin and 2-year-old Grayson, escaped injury. The youngsters were strapped in child safety seats in the back seat of the Expedition.
