Region 4-AAA GISA tourney begins at JMA

MILLEDGEVILLE —  

The John Milledge Academy Trojan Center will play host to the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) 4-AAA Region Tournament this week. 

Action begins at 4:30 p.m. today as the No. 4-seeded Westminster girls face the No. 5-seeded Augusta Prep girls. In the boys’ games, host team JMA, the No. 5 seed, faces Augusta Prep, the No. 4 seed, today at 6 p.m. 

The JMA game will be followed by No. 3-seeded Bulloch Academy versus No. 6-seeded Pinewood. The winner of today’s JMA-Augusta Prep game earns a matchup with the No. 1 seed, Bethseda at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. 

The JMA girls, the No. 3 seed, will be in action at 4 p.m. Thursday against No. 2 seed Pinewood. Games will be played today, Thursday and Friday. Admission to tournament games is $7 for adults and $5 for students.
