Copeland named Coach of the Week

MILLEDGEVILLE — Baldwin High School head football coach Dexter Copeland has been selected as this week’s NFL High School Coach of the Week.

The award, presented by Russell Athletic, is given each week during football season by the Atlanta Falcons and the National Football League.

Friday night, Baldwin High School defeated Peach County High School, 35–21. With the victory, Baldwin clinched its first win of the young season.

Each week of the season, the winner of this award receives a personalized certificate from the NFL League Office, a commemorative game ball and a $1,000 grant from the NFL’s Youth Football Fund to his school's athletic department.

The Baldwin Braves are 1-1 on the season.
