BHS will play again today on the road, against Northeast at 4:45 p.m., followed by the Sixth Baldwin Braves Baseball Golf Tournament on Saturday, at Little Fishing Creek beginning with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
“We’re looking forward to it,” Coburn said. “Overall, it’s going to be a really neat time. We invite everybody out and enjoy some golf.”
The tournament will feature a two-person scramble with prizes awarded to the winners of the closest-to-defend and longest drive contests.
“We’ve had great response before, so we’re hoping to have good response coming up to this one and everything,” Coburn said.
Coburn and the Braves hope to have a large turnout, as the tournament is the biggest fundraiser the team has all year.
“We want to invite as many that can to come out and help. This is one of our bigger fundraisers for the baseball season, and hopefully the weather will break for a little bit and let everyone come out,” Coburn said. “The biggest thing is we have 36 kids who will benefit. Overall, it is a big help for the Baldwin County baseball program.”
