Westminster didn't put up much of a fight on Tuesday, as the John Milledge Academy varsity baseball team cruised to a 12-5 blowout win in Augusta.
This was the fourth consecutive win for JMA that sits at 4-3 this season.
Westminster did take the early 2-0 lead.
JMA went up for good in the fourth inning, scoring four runs on two doubles and an RBI single by junior Zach Meeks.
The Trojans scored six runs in the fifth inning on an RBI singles by junior Cody Miller and senior Hunter Harding, a two-run single by senior Trae Simmons and an RBI double by senior Chad Charping.
Harding led JMA at the plate going 3-for-4, driving in one and scoring two runs.
Together seniors Tommy Pittman and Trent Thiel contributed three hits and three runs scored. Pittman added a stolen base.
On the mound, junior Ben Bracewell earned the win. He allowed just three runs over five innings, striking out three and surrendering six hits overall.
The Trojan bats beat up on Westminster's Kalon Hightower Tuesday, as he lasted just four innings.
JMA hosts Pinewood at home today with the first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
