GMC Bulldogs get All-American honors

MILLEDGEVILLE — The National Junior College Athletic Association recently announced the 2013 All- American Team, which includes six Georgia Military College football players receiving accolades.

First Team Offense All-American:

RB Jovon Robinson, 6’ 0”, 225 lb., Freshman

OL Devon Williams, 6’ 5”, 340 lb., Sophomore

First Team Defense All-American:

DL Kenderius Whitehead, 6’ 4”, 220 lb., Freshman

Second Team Defense All-American:

DB Stephen Houston, 5’ 10”, 185 lb., Sophomore

Second Team Special Teams All-American:

K Brandon Rutherford, 5’ 9”, 155 lb., Sophomore

Honorable Mention Offense:

OL Adam Duckett, 6’ 7”, 350 lb., Sophomore

The GMC Bulldogs finished the season with an 11-1 record and earned a runner-up finish in the NJCAA following their loss to East Mississippi Community College in the national championship game. The game was the Bulldogs’ only loss on the season.
