The crisp autumn air just added to the atmosphere of a wonderful championship game between the undefeated Seminoles, sponsored by Baldwin Services Heating & Cooling, and those fighting Bulldogs, sponsored by Sinclair Disposal Wednesday evening.

The final game of the season for the 5- to 6-year-old teams at the Baldwin County Rec. Department turned into the Javon Bullard and Darique Watkins show as the Seminoles topped off their perfect season with a commanding 26-0 victory.

The Seminoles would get things rolling early after Keishawn Smith recovered a fumble to put his team in motion. Soon after, Bullard would jiggle to the outside and race to the end zone, putting his team up 6-0 with 7:40 to go in the first quarter. Teammate Watkins then rumbled it in for the extra point.

Bullard would score again on another galloping run with 1:52 to go in the first, but the extra point was denied by the Bulldogs and the Seminoles only led 13-0. The Bulldogs would continue to play superb defense in the second quarter to give themselves a chance in the third.

But the Seminoles (10-0) have been dominant all season long and took firm control of the game in the third. Watkins would then bulldoze his way through a big hole in the line of scrimmage and race 20 yards for a score to put his team ahead comfortably 20-0.

Bullard and Watkins would continue to grind the ball and the clock as the game wore on, and would also make significant plays on defense. Other notable performers for the Seminoles included Keishawn Smith, Garrison Holland, Jayce Douglas, Lataeveon Roach and Tyree Worthen.

Congratulations, Seminoles on your perfect season!
