Register for baseball, softball

— The time has come to sign up for the 2007 Baldwin County Recreation Department’s youth baseball and softball leagues. Registration began Jan. 16 and will run through Feb. 16.
“Last year we had right at 900 [players],” Baldwin County Baseball/Softball Association president Walter Prestwood said Monday. “I’m looking for numbers to boost. I’d like to get the numbers up.”
The cost for registration depends on the age group:
n Wee Ball: 3-4 years old — $55
n T-Ball: 5-6 years old — $60
n Rookie: 7-8 years old — $60
n Mite: 9-10 years old — $60
n Midget: 11-12 years old — $60
n Junior: 13-14 years old — $70
n Senior: 15-17 years old — $70
“That provides everything,” Prestwood said. “That gives uniforms, trophies and just provides the program.
