MILLEDGEVILLE — Members of the Georgia College Enactus, a entrepreneur group on campus, has changed the location of its family fun day from the Oconee River Greenway to hosting the event at the Mary Vinson Memorial Library Saturday in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ actual birthday March 2.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Dr. Seuss costume parade at 10 a.m. for an entry fee of $2.

Costumes will be judged and winners will be awarded with various prizes. Adult costume winners will receive gift certificate to a local downtown merchant.

For $1, youth can also enjoy participating in carnival-style games and activities, including a fishing pond, relay contest and throw the ring game.

Proceeds from the event will support the ASPIRE (A Student Parent Initiative Revitalizing Education) program, a family education initiative of Communities In Schools of Milledgeville-Baldwin County (CISMBC) to eradicate illiteracy, unemployment and poverty in the community through education and literacy activities.
