Residential fire still under investigation

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Milledgeville Fire Department is investigating an arson case stemming from a Nov. 27 incident on Brantley Way. 

According to reports, the male victim and his girlfriend heard a loud bang outside the residence. They walked out to find his vehicle on fire.

According to the report, the victim stated the rear driver's side window was broken out. There was a charcoal lighter fluid bottle located behind the vehicle.

The victim stated the bottle came from his front porch. 

City police were dispatched, along with the fire department. Arson investigator Lt. Greg Hood said he is still working the case.
