BHS students network with business, industry representatives

MILLEDGEVILLE —

Baldwin High School freshmen and sophomores networked with various business and industry representatives during Career Day Wednesday.

Representatives in attendance included Pure Chiropractic, Twin Lakes Library System, Z-97FM, Need A Nerd, U.S. Army, Central Georgia Technical College Nursing Department, Georgia College’s College of Business, Baldwin County Fire Rescue, Georgia Forestry Commission, SERVPRO and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Career and technical student organizations were also set up to recruit students, including Future Business Leaders of America, Future Farmers of America, Health Occupations Students of America and SkillsUSA.

High school juniors and seniors experienced mock interviews and attended mini-workshops to learn business etiquette, how to dress for success, create professional resumes and social media in the workplace.
