MILLEDGEVILLE — The Milledgeville Exchange Club presented its annual Christmas downtown Christmas Parade Sunday. Jesse Wall, longtime driver of Santa Claus in his trademark red truck, was the Grand Marshall.
The parade typically features around 100 entrants including local first responders. Those entries include floats, marchers, cars and trucks, horses and marching bands from GMC Prep and Baldwin High.
Parade judge and City Councilman Phillip Joiner said the audience was the largest in recent memory.
'The weather cooperated. It was another great day for the city,’ Joiner said.
Wesley Chapel won the Best Homemade Award, Triumph won Best Commercial and the Baldwin High School ROTC program took home the Best Overall Entry prize.
