AT&T launches 4G in Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE — AT&T marked the launched of its 4G network this week providing service for Milledgeville and Hancock County.

According to a press release from AT&T, the 4G service will provide faster mobile Internet speeds for customers as well as faster response times.

“For most of us, we couldn’t survive without our wireless phone.  Whether we are keeping up with family or conducting business, we need fast reliable service and I am very pleased to help announce that AT&T LTE service is available in our area,” said AT&T Milledgeville Store Manager Jenny Massee.  “LTE enables faster Internet service than many of us have through the wires in our homes.  This will open up new business possibilities and provide new services for schools, doctors and others in our community.”

“We continue to see demand for mobile Internet skyrocket, and our 4G LTE network in Milledgeville responds to what customers want from their mobile experience — more, faster, on the best devices,” said Stan Shepherd, AT&T Regional Director of External Affairs.

The local AT&T store celebrated its new location in fall 2010. The 3,700 square foot facility is located on North Columbia Street.
