MILLEDGEVILLE — The Georgia War Veterans Home hosted a one-hour Veterans Day ceremony Monday. The program honored the military service of veterans in attendance with a guest speaker, music and a pass in review.

Georgia Military College band, color guard, cadet corps and drill team all played a part. Speaker Col. (Ret.) Richard Combs, U.S.M.C., served in the Vietnam War and wants the heart of Americans to continue to go out to our veterans already here or returning home.

‘Our nation values freedom for all,’ Combs said. ‘Our nation remains the greatest force for good.’

During the pass in review, GMC cadets, Baldwin High School NJROTC and the Sons of the American Revolution saluted the crowd. The Georgia War Veterans Home Veterans Platoon was featured in the review's climax.
