MILLEDGEVILLE — Baldwin High School students are focusing on learning music as they prepare to showcase their talents at All State Chorus next year.
As part of the audition process last month, students learned vocabulary and site read music, sang a foreign piece, passed a written exam, and rehearsed with a full choir to receive the most prestigious honor at the high school level.
This year’s All State Chorus students include Ashley Phillips, Michael Watson, Sarah Massey, Jamil Halim, Tevauri Mar-Shall, J’barri Mar-Shall, Thomas Stewart IV and Clay Garland.
BHS Choir Director Kathy Carroll and her eight all stars will perform in Savannah in late February along with the best high school students across Georgia under the direction of some of the top conductors in the nation.
