General Manager Jason Childre represents Childre Nissan's partnership with Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville Baldwin-County through sponsorship of the Adopt-A-Home Program.

"We are honored to help with our resources, vehicles and time in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville-Baldwin County," Childre said.

The intent of the Adopt-A-Home program is to engage local businesses to invest in-person, in-kind and fiscally to improve the standard housing in the community.

The businesses choosing to partner have an option of “adopting” a home, with a minimum sponsorship of $500. This donation acts as a loan to the family, and the monetary contribution will be a catalyst. Partner businesses are encouraged to get involved with as many adoptions as possible and share the vision with fellow businesses encouraging support.

Wells Fargo was the first to partner with Habitat to kick off the Adopt-A-Home Program last month.

Habitat homes are selected based on the home being located in Baldwin County, the home being owned and not rented, the owner must have lived in house for 12 months and show intent on living there for another year. The family must express a great need with the ability to pay.
