MPD said officers found the passenger’s side window of the van shot out completely.
Police said the van appeared to be struck a couple of times on the driver’s side and one bullet projectile traveled inside the van barely missing an infant child in the passenger’s seat behind the driver.
The projectile was recovered and turned into evidence.
After securing the original warrants for the suspects, MPD reached out to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for assistance due to the difficult task of locating the suspects living within county jurisdiction.
Lt. Steve McDade and other members of the sheriff’s office were able to take three of the four suspects into custody.
One of the suspects was already in the county jail on unrelated charges a few days after the New Year’s shootings occurred.
