GCEC homecoming kings, queens represent school's first royal court

MILLEDGEVILLE — Georgia College Early College (GCEC) crowned its first homecoming king and queen during a coronation ceremony in the Magnolia Ballroom Thursday.

Led by Parent Advisory Committee members Charles Cofer and Patricia Hightower, parents of the royal court were ushered to their seats before each homecoming representative of the royal court was pinned and crowned. GCEC students Nicole Collins and Charnika Ross performed ‘Girl On Fire’ by Alicia Keys followed by the royal court dance.

The 2013 GCEC king and queen are Alexis Hill, Jr. and Chiquita Cleveland; Mr. and Miss 12th Grade are Tre’von Coffee and Ki-Jana Moss; Mr. and Miss 11th Grade are Malik Butts and Jayla Nelson; Mr. and Miss 10th Grade are Tahj Beckham and Courtney Crawford; Mr. and Miss 9th Grade are Michael Hill and Jada Simpson; Mr. and Miss 8th Grade are Shamaricus Dixon and Courtney Butts; and Mr. and Miss 7th Grade are Malik Grier and Jaleeceya Myrick.
