Covenant Presbyterian offers midday Good Friday service

The Union-Recorder

MILLEDGEVILLE — Covenant Presbyterian Church will offer a midday Good Friday service beginning at noon.

The Rev. Andrew Adams said the particular time of day for the service is to allow those who may not have another opportunity a time for reflection and worship.

“People can come be our guests during this special season,” Adams said. “Travel plans can be hectic around Easter weekend, and this way people can take advantage of the time.”

The service  will focus on the Easter season. Adams said there will be a time of reflection and a short message following a selection of special music.

A free lunch will follow the service, and those attending are invited to eat at the church or take the meal with them.

“This is our fifth year providing this service, and there will be no charge,” Adams said.

The Good Friday service at Covenant Presbyterian Church will be held from noon to 2:35 p.m. at the church, located at 440 N. Columbia St. in Milledgeville.
