MILLEDGEVILLE — Candidate Arthur “Art” Ross withdrew from the Nov. 5 elections after qualifying for the Georgia Military College Board of Trustees District 2 seat on the final day of the qualifying period Friday, Aug. 30.
Municipal Elections Superintendent Patti Rushin said Ross withdrew Tuesday afternoon in a letter dated Sept. 9. Ross did not include his reasons for withdrawing from the election.
“I have called and removed him from the ballot,” Rushin said.
Incumbent Randall A. “Randy” New qualified for reelection to the GMC Board District 2 seat on the first day of the qualifying period. He is the lone candidate for the post.
