Parade celebrates Christmas despite weather

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Exchange Club's 32nd annual Milledgeville Christmas Parade marched on in wet conditions Sunday. The Christmas parade brought out countless entrants including floats, marchers, cars and trucks, horses and, of course, marching bands and Junior ROTC from GMC Prep and Baldwin High. Wilkinson County students participated as well. Many local businesses, churches and civic organizations enter the parade to promote their organizations as well as good cheer. Local responders showed off their vehicles to spectators. Float winners were Central State for Best Home Made, Century Bank for Best Commercial and Best Overall was Shear Designs. The Milledgeville Exchange Club raises all of its money and donates it back to city organizations.
