GCS makes a difference in patients’ lives through fundraisers

• Oct. 20: A golf tournament, dinner and live auction will take place at the Milledgeville Country Club. There will be 25 teams of four players each. Anyone has the opportunity to purchase any of the 18 holes for $100 or sponsor a team for $450. Vendors are also able to donate $100 to set up a booth at the event to sell their merchandise. Patrons can end the evening with a delicious dinner after a $30 donation;

• Oct. 27: Georgia Kraft Company, located in Macon, will be donating 100 smoked Boston Butts to GCS, each selling for $100; and

• November: Fitness Plus, Sports Fit and Yummo Yogo will be sponsoring a 5K race, at which sponsors and volunteers are still needed.

White is hoping to gather the needed supplies in order to care for as many patients as possible.

“My hope for the future is to get more communities involved here in Georgia and that many lives will be changed and helped,” White said. “We have a responsibility to help others that are in need. It could be you or a loved one tomorrow. My hope is for you to get involved in making a difference in someone’s life today.”

GCS is a Christian-based, nonprofit organization that dedicates their efforts to assisting all types of cancer patients in need. Since founded in 2011, GCS raises money through gracious donations and various events to provide resources and other means of support for the patients. Numerous lives have already been touched through the Christ-like love GCS spreads.
