MILLEDGEVILLE — The final installment of this year’s Eggs & Issues series will focus on the Georgia General Assembly and legislative issues.

State Rep. Rusty Kidd (I-Milledgeville) and state Sen. Burt Jones (R-Jackson) will present a recap of the 2013 legislative session and provide updates on bills and issues impacting Baldwin County during next week’s breakfast.

The event will be held Wednesday. The presentation begins at 8 a.m. and will be held at the new Central Georgia Technical College conference center. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and the program ends at 9 a.m.

The series is presented by the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce.

Eggs & Issues launched last fall, and presentations in the series are held every four to five weeks. Previous sessions have focused on the state of local education, city and county government, economic development and health care.

Previous presenters have included Oconee Regional Medical Center CEO Jean Aycock, Baldwin County Schools Superintendent Geneva Braziel and Milledgeville-Baldwin County Development Authority Executive Director Matt Poyner. Milledgeville Mayor Richard Bentley discussed the “State of the City of Milledgeville” at last month’s session.

The presentation format is designed to allow business leaders, community leaders and elected officials to have an open forum discussing issues relating to Milledgeville and Baldwin County.

The community is invited to hear and discuss issues and ask questions of local leadership.

Tickets for the event are $10 each or $75 for a table of eight.
