MILLEDGEVILLE — Baldwin County youth were excited to create their own popular Dr. Seuss hats and paint their faces Friday in commemoration of the 109th birthday of the famous poet, writer and cartoonist.

In conjunction with National Read Across America Day, Georgia College students and community volunteers donated their time to read Dr. Seuss stories and conduct literacy activities for students at preschools, daycare’s, elementary schools and on the university campus.
