The murder trial of Zachary Allen Beck resumed today following trial delays.
The triall was scheduled to resume Monday, but was postponed after the wife of lead defense attorney, Ricky Morris, was involved in an accident and injured her arm. She was rushed to the hospital to undergo orthopedic surgery, pushing the trial start date. The trial was delayed last month due to an attorney illness.
Jury selection had already been completed prior to the delay in December.
Proceedings began at 9 a.m. today in Wilkinson County Superior Court.
Beck is on trial for killing 54-year-old Ronnie Willis Rozier on Jan. 6, 2011. Beck allegedly robbed and killed Rozier at his home off Parker Springs Church Road in McIntyre. He is charged with one count malice murder, one count felony murder, and one count armed robbery.
