Friday night mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the evening then partly cloudy after midnight. Lows around 50. Light and variable winds. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Belk will host its Spring Charity Sale May 3 from 6 to 10 a.m. with special discounts from 20 to 70 percent off. Tickets for the event are $5 and are sold by individual charities, which receive the proceeds. They may also be purchased at the store, proceeds from those tickets are divided among participating charities and schools.
