“Having the community awareness day the fourth Saturday each month allows farmers and vendors to highlight organizations in the community. We will have seed planting at Kids Corner this Saturday as well since it was very successful last month,” Miller said. “It’s going to be a great day. The market is in full growth now; produce is just rolling in. We average about 270 to 300 people each week at the market.”
Farmers from the middle Georgia area will be on site offering sustainably-grown seasonal vegetables, meats and dairy products, including carrots, onions, beets, mushrooms, pasture-raised beef, pork, lamb, chicken, jams, jellies, yogurt, cheeses, milk, butter, eggs, artisan breads and baked goods. Herbs, cut flowers and naturally-grown potted plants will also be available.
