MILLEDGEVILLE — The all too familiar thunderstorm placed a damper on July's 'Made in America' First Friday. The evening's festivities lasted about an hour Friday.

Milledgeville Main Street's event honored the contributions of local heroes.

The theme incorporated patriotic events and activities to recognize everyday heroes of Baldwin County, including firefighters, police officers and EMTs. Sparky the Fire Dog was on hand as well.

The Milledgeville Police Department's Explorer Program, a program for anyone ages 14 to 20 interested in law enforcement, patrolled the area during the events.
