Drugs seized, arrests made

MILLEDGEVILLE —

Milledgeville Police made two arrests Monday and seized a sizable amount of drugs and cash.

MPD detectives worked a lengthy investigation resulting in the service of a search warrant at 338 Doles Blvd. around 2 p.m. Monday, according to Detective Scott Goodwin.

Police confiscated cash, 87 grams of “molly” and 116 grams of marijuana. A firearm was also taken from the search. Molly is the street name for the powder or crystal form of MDMA, a chemical drug most commonly known for its use in the pressed pill Ecstasy.

Two suspects, Perry Shoemaker and Robert Jackson, are in police custody. Both are charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Shoemaker has an additional charge of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule 1 drug.
