A man with an Atlanta address was arrested Wednesday by the Milledgeville Police Department and charged with four counts of burglary.

On Tuesday, police investigators Maj. Reggie Hill and Det. Anthony Henderson received a tip about a burglary suspect, Kendrick Keshon Johnson.

MPD made contact with a suspect in the Wray Homes area the next day around 4 a.m. The suspect was transported to the police department for further investigation.

“While inside the suspect’s residence, we noticed several checks, along with a container of electronics. After making contact with the leaseholder, it was learned that all the items did not belong to either one of them,” Hill said Wednesday. “The resident told us that the person we had in custody brought all of the items to the house. We collected all the items from the residence and brought them to the police department.”

Henderson was able to locate two names from separate checkbooks. After making contact with the checks owners, Henderson discovered that four burglaries were committed.

MPD also found that several checks may have been falsely “uttered” from one of the checkbooks.

Hill said the search continues for additional items stolen that may have been stolen by the suspect.

“We are currently looking into further criminal activity that may have been committed,” Hill said.
