More than 30 countries from around the world were represented by members of the Georgia College International Club during Thursday’s popular International Day.

As part of International Week, college students and the local community stopped by various tables set up on front campus to practice their origami skills with Japanese students, receive a henna tattoo from Indian students, and learn about the culture and lifestyle of countries through exhibits, photos, clothing and arts and crafts.

Countries included Kenya, Russia, Cambodia, Columbia, Germany, Sweden and Zimbabwe. Live entertainment was provided from the Georgia College salsa club and swing club.

The week of celebration will conclude Friday with a viewing of the Chilean film ‘Machuca’ as part of the First Friday Foreign Film Series, slated at 7 p.m. in the Arts and Sciences Auditorium.
