Milledgeville Players presents check to Georgia Cancer Support

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Milledgeville Players presented Georgia Cancer Support (GCS) with $500 Thursday at City Hall to support Josh Thompson, a local teen fighting cancer.

Of the proceeds from the classic musical ‘Kiss Me Kate,’ 10 percent of box office sales was awarded to GCS.

‘We greatly thank community members who saw the show because it not only supported the Milledgeville Players, but also Josh,’ said Sara Stone, marketing director for the Milledgeville Players.

The Thompson family was also able to raise $737 from t-shirt sales and donations during the production’s opening night.
