Lions Club provides free vision screenings

MILLEDGEVILLE — Members of the Milledgeville Lions Club volunteered their time to provide free vision screenings at Cafe Central Tuesday.

Lions will kick off their biggest fundraising efforts this week by serving all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Crockett’s Cafeteria. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $7, which includes spaghetti, coleslaw, bread, cookies and drinks. Carry-out orders and meatless sauce will also be available.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support local Lions projects, Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind, Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation and Leader Dogs for the Blind.

The Milledgeville Lions Club was established in 1975 and has since continued to help hearing and sight-impaired individuals locally and statewide.

For more information about the local Lions Club, to purchase spaghetti dinner tickets, or donate funds, call club President Paul May at 478-452-6929.
