PHOTOS: Pumpkins, scarecrows galore at the Pumpkin Patch

MILLEDGEVILLE — Local children stopped by the Pumpkin Patch at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Wednesday morning to hear stories, vote on their favorite scarecrow and take home a mini pumpkin of their own to decorate.

More than 800 pumpkins arrived last week to the Pumpkin Patch. Open for field trips and the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, pumpkins are available through Thursday, Oct. 31.

FUMC is also hosting a fall festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, featuring a bounce house, pony rides, games, face painting, rock wall, hay rides and goodie bags full of prizes. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served for $5 along with drinks and snacks.
