MILLEDGEVILLE — A male city resident was stabbed Thursday afternoon in a domestic dispute.

Milledgeville Police Department officers and EMS personnel responded to an address in the 100 Block of Lake Drive at 5:17 p.m Thursday.

Upon arrival, officers found a black male on the front porch bleeding from the upper back, according to Maj. Reggie Hill of MPD.

“The victim was barely responsive due to the loss of blood from his injuries,” Hill said.

EMS transported the victim to Oconee Regional Medical Center and later transported him to The Medical Center of Central Georgia in critical condition.

Witness accounts of the assault pointed to the assailant as a 23-year-old female acquaintance, Kiera Davis.

Hill said during the course of this investigation police established that the assault occurred after the victim began arguing with the suspect.

“During the argument, Davis went into the kitchen and returned with a large kitchen knife,” Hill said. “The suspect stabbed the victim in the back, completely shoving the knife through his flesh, all the way to the handle. The victim stumbled outside onto the front porch, where responding officers found him.”

Davis fled the residence on foot prior to officer arrival. The female suspect later turned herself in to authorities at MPD.

Davis has been charged with aggravated assault pending further investigation. Charges will be upgraded pending the condition of the victim. Hill said Friday at press time the last status on the victim was critical but stable.
