“Many of the farmers will be offering samples of their products because it’s the beginning of peak season,” Miller said. “We’ve had such a good response at the Greenway with several hundred people coming every weekend.”
Vendors slated to attend Saturday’s market include The Little Farm, Fort Creek Farm, Babe + Sage Farm, Elm Street Gardens, East Georgia Produce, Southern Swiss Dairy, Forest Grove Farm, Rag & Frass Farm, Sparkleberry Market Garden, Evergreen East Farm, Salamander Springs Farm, Barker Farms and Sparta Imperial Mushrooms.
The Farmers Market at the Greenway is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday at the Oconee River Greenway, located off Highway 22 at the River Bridge. The market continues weekly through November.
“We’re hoping to continue collaborating with other community organizations,” Miller said. “We would love to highlight great community organizations at the Greenway Farmers Market.”
