From staff reports
Fifth grade students in the Gifted Program at Eagle Ridge Elementary School got a chance to showcase what they have learned throughout the year. Beverly Meeks, gifted facilitator, guided students in the creation of their own art museum. Students created pieces of Renaissance, Modern, Impressionism, Early American, and cave artwork that corresponded to characteristics of the specific era. They also created recycled art, transforming discarded household items into art pieces. The gifted students acted as tour guides of the museum, providing adult and elementary student visitors information into mosaics, local artists and a timeline of art history.
