MILLEDGEVILLE — Parents can start registering their children within the Baldwin County public school system’s kindergarten programs for the 2014-2015 school year starting Monday.
“Parents do not need to wait until the last minute to register,” said Carol Goings, instructional specialist for the school system.
Children who are 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Parents can register their child at any of the elementary schools within the Baldwin County public school system according to their school zones. Registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on weekdays, starting Monday and continuing through Friday, March 28.
At the time of registration, parents should provide:
• a certified copy of the birth certificate;
• proof of residence: a utility bill in the parent or legal guardian’s name showing the current service address;
• Georgia Eye, Ear and Dental form — must be current in year 2014. Screenings may be scheduled at the health department;
• Georgia Immunization Form for 2014; and
• Social Security card.
For more information about registration, call the elementary school or Goings at 478-457-3325.
