MILLEDGEVILLE — Author and Milledgeville native Jay Tudor will present insight on his debut novel and sign copies at 5 p.m. Monday at Mary Vinson Memorial Library.

The author's presentation is in conjunction with the library system's Summer Reading Club series.

The series runs through mid-July and features programs and activities for children, teens and adults. Tudor's appearance is slated as part of the adult programs.

His debut novel, “The Game,” is set in present-day Atlanta and is told from the perspective of an evil predator.

The novel is available for purchase at The Red Door, 133 S. Wayne St. and Got Books, 110 N. Wayne St. Copies of the book will also be available for purchase at the library Monday, and Tudor will take questions from the audience.

Sarah Hamil, library outreach coordinator, said Tudor's appearance falls in line with the library's efforts to support local writers.

In addition to Monday's book signing and author appearance, programs next week will also include a children's science presentation by Dr. Rosalie Richards at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Movie Day on Thursday, which will feature the showing of “The Muppets” at 10:30 a.m.

The theme for this year's reading program is 'Nighttime.' Events will be held each week. For more information on any of the reading programs, prizes, club requirements or to sign up, call (478) 452-0677 or visit
