MILLEDGEVILLE — Forecasters say much of Georgia is likely to have unusually windy weather on Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the northern two-thirds of the state.
Gusts up to 35 mph are possible through the day, and sustained winds of 20 mph are likely.
The winds could pose a safety hazard linked to this week's winter storm. Forecasters say the strong breezes could dislodge limbs that were damaged by ice and snow accumulations.
The wind advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. Saturday. It extends from the Tennessee line to just south of Americus.
