Court issues 35 indictments


The Baldwin County Superior Court issued 35 indictments Monday.

Indictments by the grand jury do not indicate guilt or innocence. An indictment means the grand jury feels there is enough evidence to move forward with charges. 

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty. The indictments include:

• Travis Lee Richardson, fictitious checks;

• Emil Martinez-Recarte, entering an auto;

• Benjamin Stephen Racz, obstruction of officer (felony), public drunkenness, reckless conduct and four counts obstruction of officer (misdemeanor);

• Cristin Ortega, possession of telecommunications device by inmate;

• Sharon Mullins, aggravated assault;

• Brandon Minnis, possession of weapon by inmate and possession of drugs by inmate;

• Hubert Kitchens Jr., theft by taking (felony);

• Lee Lashe Jackson, two counts identity fraud;

• Willie Ray Hodnett, terroristic threats and acts, theft by taking (felony), DUI, Driving While License Suspended;

• Luis Guzman, obstruction of officer (felony);

• Deandre Gray, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, sexual battery, battery, cruelty to children in the third degree:

• T'Licia Ford, six counts forgery in first degree;

• Ashley Elizabeth Edgerton, theft by deception (felony);

• Austin Dean Trease, aggravated assault, interference with government property and obstruction of officer (misdemeanor);

• Davonta Braddy and Shedrick Green, two counts aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and possession of firearm by convicted felon, Green obstruction of officer (misdemeanor);

• Jamarcus Trawick, armed robbery and aggravated assault;

• Earline Williams Johnson, three counts theft by shoplifting (felony), criminal trespass, attempting to elude, failure to maintain lane, two counts disregarding traffic control device, improper turn and no lighted headlights;

• Tanisha Warren, false statements;

• Kenneth Flemming Williams, burglary in first degree;

• Billie D. Bailey, Timothy Kochis, Arthur Phelps, Charles Robbins and Tamata Vaughn, seven counts each of fictitious checks;

• Charles Dozier and Dwight Tucker, two counts aggravated battery and one count aggravated assault;

• Carrenofigueroa Hilario and Cristin Ortega, aggravated assault;

• Shondarius Deonta Jackson and Keion Shontrell Jackson, aggravated assault;
